1.  Reading - As discussed in class, the book that you chose for your Book Talk should be read by Tuesday, December 4th. This will give you a week to complete your written summary and chosen "Multiple Intelligence" activity, as well as time to rehearse your book talk presentation.

2.  Leahy Christmas Concert - please bring in $5 or pay using school cash online by Monday.  The concert will be taking place for our class on Friday, December 7th.

Study Tips
- know Chapter 2 vocabulary (definitions)
- What is a simple machine? What are the 2 main groups of simple machines?
- List 6 simple machines and give examples of each
- Know different types of forces (ex. electromagnetic force)
- Formulas for Mechanical Advantage (2 ideal and 1 actual)
- Formula for work
- Follow G.R.A.S.S steps when problem solving
- Know the proper units (ex. Work is measured in joules (J), force is measured in newtons (N) etc.)
- know unit conversions (ex. newton-metres = joules, 100 cm =1 m, 1 kJ = 1000 J)
- What are the 2 components of force?
- What type of forces are used when riding your bike?

Gr. 8 Transition Day

Yesterday we had an awesome day at St. Anne's High School.  The students were able to tour the school and complete their passports by participating in various classroom activities.  Here is a picture of our school's winners.
